That's the $3400 Carmine Red paint option. Everybody knows red cars are faster. I wanted a red Cayenne diesel, but that color was not available at any price. That other color they call "red" looks more to me like rust. So I went with the metallic blue.

I'm not sure it's Carmine Red. We had a race car painted in the Carmine Red factory color some years ago, which for reasons only a Porsche engineer could fathom is a Barbie pink color: a bit on the dark side of pink. It sure stood out. The car was accordingly nicknamed "Carmine." The color was picked on a coin-toss between the two co-owners.

Isn't this just the plain old "guards red"? Carmine red seems to have more of a "candy coat" on it. But then again it could just be the video.

Metallic blue is awesome. It seems to change color with different lights.

All launch GTS were Carmine Red, Peridot Green and Classic Silver, the car is definetely Carmine Red, nice color but IMO its too pricey and I dont like how the big brake calipers in guards red clashes with the diferent red on the exterior.
I just placed an order for a 09/12 Build GTS in Classic Silver, I dont care for the silver on other Cayenne models, but in the GTS, with the aerokit and the extensive black accents, I think it looks fantastic.
Cant wait!
