Coils & Cardan Shaft within 300 miles of each other
Coils went at 96,700 miles. Took it in to ASG in Northern Virginia and had the coils replaced. I had the car back for a little less than two weeks and at 97,040 miles I hear bang, bang, bang right underneath the armrest. Yep, cardan shaft. The rubber in the middle was disintegrated.
$2100 total for both repairs and my shop which is in the middle of track season got me in and out in a day both times.
Fortunately, I have a regular Cayenne so new coolant pipes aren't in my future.

Did you replace the shaft with the stock part or use the Vertex "improvement?"

I believe they used the stock part. The replacement shaft was over nighted from California on Monday. The first trip in was a rush job as it's my DD so I'm not unhappy with ASG for missing the cardan shaft.
The only bummer is that I was going to have my 944S2 towed in next week to get it sorted out and between the Cayenne repairs and the 50' tree limb that fell in my pool during the storm last Friday I've exhausted my Porsche repair fund for now. Looks like the S2 will go in late August or early September now.
If I get 100k out of the next set of coils and shaft I'll be happy.

Very sorry about your bad luck in the storm! We were quite lucky this time - two trees down across the street from us while nothing but small branches in our yard, and the power wasn't out for more than five minutes Friday night.

$1420 installed for the cardan shaft and $675 installed for the coils. Coil packs were about $50 each. They are pretty good about parts pricing. Well, they do their best to be competitive.

FWIW (and it sounds like you got reasonable repairs), my 13 year old and I replaced the Cardan Shaft on our 2006 Cayenne V6 in about 1.5 hours. We sourced the replacement from Vertex and used one of their "beefier"??? units that cost $399 once core was refunded.
You sound like you're into multiple P-Cars like many of us. Since Rennlist is SUCH a good resource, you might want to try turning a wrench or two on your cars if your schedule allows. It's pretty rewarding to save $1000 here and there. In fact, I bought a 924 for about the same amount as the money I've saved in the last few months servicing my own Cayenne and 928.
Hope you have another great 100K miles on your P!G.

Thanks for the input Trey. I appreciate it. I own a business and coach AAU basketball on the weekends so time is at a premium for me. I have turned a wrench or two on the S2 and I did enjoy doing my own repairs. If I could only find the spare time to do it.
