Auto Spies -- Cayenne PDA navigation
Let's not perpetuate other spurious Auto Spies threads ... here's a fun, interesting article.
Note the remarkably low equipment level of the Cayenne interior trim.

Actually, Pharos Software has been selling a Pocket PC-based nav package for some time. I have a T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone and they sell a copy of the Pharos software with an integrated GPS antenna that plugs into the phone for $199. You can usually find this package or one of the others that will work on a Pocket PC at CompUSA. If you want more info on the package, try:

or,

And just to brag a bit... I took delivery on my Cayenne S today. What a great car! It's actually kind of fun to watch people slow down and stare, trying to figure out what kind of car this is. I love my 955!

The biggest problem I've had with iPaq hosted navigation systems is reception. I've tried two different units and both seemed to take an excessively long time to acquire a signal. Map data can also be a problem. I bought a 512MB flash card so that I could upload all of the map data only to find that the application couldn't handle having all of the map data available at once. Dedicated, integrated systems are a much better solution, IMHO. My last six cars (except my 996) have all had navigation.
