There are now more corporate 4 wheelers in a given section of woods on a single day than all of the early brush dog's combined.
The Reason...?
Why to keep the public from looking, walking, taking pictures, picnicing, breathing forest air, fishing forest streams. God forbid there be any 'felony contemplation'of, dare I say this in mixed company, camping, or, trail riding.

I have no idea what that last post had to do with the Cayenne or the FX45, but the last time I looked, there weren't any forests near Midland, Texas...

BTW, I checked Panorama and a couple of other sources and I couldn't find ANY 928 GTS's for sale, although I think I did find a couple on cars.com or some other online site. What I found wasn't interesting though.

In another quick note, I just read the paper and locally there is the following ad:

Porsche 928--1994, GTS, black/tan, 27K 1 owner miles, perfect, $49,900/trade. 417- 869-7000

Seems WAY too high to me...

Ken, You are not going to run across a GTS very often. There were only about 400 ever imported to the US.

You will still find guys out there fishing for $50k. Those cars don't sell in my experience. That car is $10k overpriced, even with the low miles.

There is a Rennlist member who has started a site dedicated to the 928.He has info on hundreds of cars. That info often includes for sale info. It is a little time consuming to page through but it is neat to look at the cars <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> <a href="http://www.928registry.org" target="_blank">www.928registry.org</a>

I liked the look of the FX45 in the ads I saw.

But I've seen a few of the FX 45s around now, and all I can say is the photographer definitely got the best angle.

Walking around the thing in real life, a lot of perspectives reminded me of the old American Motors styling.

But that's my opinion.

It's got this slab-sided, pacer/gremlin gone tubby look.

I think it has to do with the high wasteline of FX. That just feels bulbous. Like a small bubble attached to a bigger bubble. (The new Z definitely has that bubble feeling as well to me ).

If you're going to use a Mike Tyson voice, please don't get close to my ear.

Glad you like your new ride, but if you read the howling from this board over the P-fish, I doubt you'll be making any converts with 'curb appeal' with your rig. Having parked next to a new RR today, to me that is the 'gold standard' for SUVs.

I saw the commercial for the FX 45 and it looked interesting, I saw one on the road yesterday (gold color) and is it ever ugly.

So I guess it does crush the Cayenne in the uglinees department. (IMO)

As we used to say in high school it's a 10 bagger, in case the other 9 break.

I've read this post at nauseum and have concluded that comparing your new Infiniti with my new Cayenne S is like comparing apples and oranges.

The engineering behind the Porsche Cayenne S/TT as well as its other past projects blow its competitors out of the water.

The Japanese make very good and reliable vehicles but do not come close to Porsche know how and creativity. They can probably improve on the engineering already created by Porsche because that's what they do best.

Your rationalizations are interesting at best. I respectfully disagree with your position and agree that you have opened up a can of worms on this site but without the proper class vehicle.

BTW, I left an Infiniti FX45 in the dust on X-Mass eve. Remember the fact that the Driver = 95% and Vehicle = 5%, although in a Porsche I'm biased.
