Question Cayenne S with air-suspension?

Anyone heard of any rumors or fact to when the air-suspension will be available on the S. It and other options that were cancelled.

Any ideas on how to get red calipers on an S, painting not being an choice?

In Germany most options are already available to order for the S (except for the sport seats), including the air suspension.

The red calipers might be available through Exclusive program later this year (just a guess)...

Kevin

Kevin,

just called my Porsche dealer to verify the model year change. He now claims the model year change for the Cayenne to be taking place in June as it currently depends on VW's model year policy in its Bratislava factory (that's why I already changed my signature... ). But my dealer promised that there will be no changes compared to 2003 models (probably besides more available options). It is still in discussion inside Porsche to shift this change towards August/September to correspond with model year changes of 996 and 986.

I ordered the following options:

* Lapis Blue metallic color
* Havanna/Sand Beige full smooth leather
* Tiptronic S
* air suspension
* bi-xenon headlights
* ParkAssist
* privacy glass
* electric comfort package
* fire extringuisher
* front and rear heated seats with heated steering wheel
* non-smoker package
* preparation to retrofit trailer hitch
* sports aluminum package
* PCM II with telephone module and passive receiver
* preparation to retrofit CD charger
* pre-heater
* 18" Cayenne Turbo wheels (for winter tyres)
* 20" Cayenne SportTechno wheels (Tequipment) incl. Wheel center caps with colored Porsche crest
* factory delivery Leipzig (full program)

I remember that thermally insulted glass, sport seats and four-zone air-conditioning system were not available but rear heated seats, telephone module with passive receiver and 20" SportTechno wheels just opened up when I signed the contract two weeks ago. More and more availability of options changed on a daily basis then.
I will meet my dealer tomorrow and will be happy to ask him your questions .

Hello all,

I've been told my car is in production but the air suspension was not included. here is the option list

Compass display in instrument clusterPorsche Communication Management (PCM)
Air suspension with self-leveling and PASM
Trailer hitch without hitch ball
Moonroof (glass)
Bi-Xenon headlight
Titanium Metallic
Electric Comfort Package Sport/Comfort seats
Comfort seats with memory
Stone/Steel Grey embossed leather
18" Collapsible Spare Tire
Wheel center caps with colored Porsche crest
18" Cayenne S wheel

The spare tire is a no go also.

I'd really like to have the air suspension and who would drive a car without a spare???

(I hope not me)

Supposedly, all of the Cayennes that arrive in March 03, will be 04 models. Should help the residual values......

Elviss, I'm curious as to whether you could have ordered bigger wheels for your S and, if so, why you didn't? Looks, off-road or inclement weather (in Fla?), or you plan to go aftermarket or acquire Porsche's larger wheels later?

John H.

The reason I chose the Turbo wheels is because i think they are very attractive. Slice open a cayenne pepper and take a close look or find a pepper flower and tell me what you see. The Sport Design Wheel perhaps looks best, but won't do well off road.

Well, I know this should be the topic of a whole new thread but here is my big confession:

I think the Cayenne is beautifully designed and very aesthetically appealing.

So do I take delivery of TT, drive it and order S with air-suspension or do I cancel and defer till S arrives with air-suspension? Sell my slot on Ebay?

Word is, the air suspensions supplier is having trouble getting ramped up, but there are enough for the turbos. The cayenne S is very nice, but if you can afford the turbo, why fool with S?. Just get the turbo.

Peace

NGFAN,

That sounds similar to my Option's list.. couple of questions, why not the Drive & Entry... what is the cost of the factory delivery package, I am contimplating that as well...Spoke to my dealer today and he said he was waiting to hear from Porsche regarding if they will be 03's or 04's... But he can't even place a order for a S with air suspension... who is your dealer in Florida?

Also are these the 20's your ordering?
