Cayenne S with air-suspension?

Elvis, go the the Porsche German Site, then look under Tequipment, there is a bunch of goodies..
It helps if you read German
Better Pic..

I haven't decided between these or
these

Waiting to see them both in person, but the bottom ones remind me of my current X5 rims..

But he can't even place a order for a S with air suspension... who is your dealer in Florida?
Also are these the 20's your ordering?

They will be available in the first or second week of March (according to my dealer who is not in Florida - unfortunately - but in Stuttgart, Germany ) and I managed to get them factory-mounted.
I didn't order Drive&Entry as I don't really need it. In contrast to the Mercedes system (called Keyless Go) where you just carry a small chipcard to be identified by the car, with Porsche you have to carry this heavy Cayenne key with you to get access anyway. So no real advantage for me. Instead of pushing the little **** on the door handle I push the key. In addition, here in Germany there's currently a big discussion going on about electronic failures in cars (all big manufacturers down here face a lot of problems in this area), so to me it's just better to reduce the number of electronic gimmicks (Mercedes has specific problems with KeylessGo in their new E-Class - i.e. drivers often cannot get access to their car ).
Factory delivery package is an opportunity no Cayenne owner should miss. For German customers it costs 696 Euro and includes lunch for you and your company, a factory tour, a full gas tank and the best of all: Test drives around the factory's high-speed test track (with a Laguna Seca curve) and off-road track with a Cayenne (not yours) accompanied by a Porsche instructor who will show you what you can (but never will) do with this car. Probably they will offer some additional features to international customers.
EDIT: Just came back from my dealer. He still stands with June as the month of model year change. And no obvious reason to make a difference between models for German and for foreign markets...
For those addicts of you waiting for your pepper car I can recommend this book to you (just got it from my dealer as a present) to shorten the waiting period: Amazon.com: Porsche Cayenne by Clauspeter Becker
2. EDIT: ...And no word over here about air suspension delivery/order problems...100 % of all S which my dealer has sold come with air suspension. The first customer cars are due to be delivered next week.

My order went in as...
Titanium Metallic
19" rims
Parking Heater
Roof Transport System
Roll-up sunscreen
Electric comfort package
Moonroof
Fire Extinguisher
Black Leather
Non-smoker
PCM with compass
Tire-pressure monitoring
I am going to see now if I can change to the 18" rims and get the Tequipment 20" those are nice but came online after I placed my order. It would facilitate getting snow tires on the 18"

I have to say the Tequipment 20's look awsome. I'll give more thought to a wheel change.
Don't laugh but the Cayenne wheel designs are inspired by the pepper plant
18" Cayenne Turbo / flower
19" Cayenne Design / plant stems
20" Cayenne Sport Design / cross section of Pepper

Thank you, I don't read German, but the pictures got me to the right place, great stuff, why isn't available in US?
The Tequipment Sport look fantastic (no pepper plant inspiration here, just great industrial design)
Nice wheels on your X5, they do remind of the 20" Cayenne Sport Design

Next time you are in Naples lets have coffee?

Back to the thread topic, will we be happy with S and no Air Suspension?
Dawktah,
The order that went in, is it an "S"? If so, why are you waiting for TT?

What's up with the air suspension situation, P-Seller? Is the inability to order a 2003 S with air suspension simply a problem of there being too little parts/subsystems supply to meet demand initially, or is it something else?
#25
I think you hit it on the head. The numbers are so low, and it is an option, I think sometimes suppliers underestimate the demand.
It's not uncommon, but it is frustrating. Interestingly, the S's that we drove in alabama, were us spec cars with air suspension. So they do at least exist.
Peace

Thanks for the compliment. While waiting patiently for our S to get here (the dealer informed me today that he actually has a completion date: April 3rd) I like to doodle out drawings. Here is a larger version:

It really is a beautifully designed car, can't wait to see one for real.
Oh, and by the way here is another way to get red calipers on the "S"

its called "Adobe PhotoShop"

P-seller, I call it poor planning, but BMW did the same thing with the X5. They arrived around January of 2000 as 4.4's then I ordered one in March for April production, then in May the 3.0's came out at 2001 so they had to then change the 4.4's after April production to 2001's. So it was nice beacuse I had a 2001 car in May of 2000. It really pissed off all the guys that had 2000, some threated lawsuits...
Very cool Elviss.... I'm actually going to have my Calipers powder coated red only because I will have the 20's chromed, so it would be a excellent time to have them done while the Pepper is sitting on blocks...
Have any of thought about a Personalized Plate..
I came up with PORSHUV (reserved for CA)

After having driven both air suspended and regular sprung Cayenne S's, I feel NO NEED for the air suspension, unless you PLAN to go off-road. Even then you may not even need it.
My point?
I would not let a Cayenne without air suspension stop me from buyinng it....The Cayenne is about way more than just an air suspension.
Good Luck all!

I bought a Cayenne S on Friday night with AIr Suspension. The dealer couldn't find the car I ordered in November that was to be delivered in Mar 03, so he sold me his showroom car. Near as I can tell, this is a preproduction model that included almost every option available for the S, except 20in wheels/tires. The dealer told me that folks could order the air suspension but that he didn't have reliable build or delivery schedule.
