Mike-
Unfortunately shades of distinction. Although the % increase over the C., is non-the-less impressive. Kidding aside, price and that mpg number for the C. is going to make a lot of people think twice, IMHO, about purchasing one. Initial (got to have the latest) buyers won't care, it is 2 year plus buyers Porsche has to worry about.

PS-Snowing and gray in JH today. <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

PAG got four good years out the boxster, not it's in the tank.

Just two years would be a disaster.

I'm not even sure what's gonna drive the "gotta-havers" other than it's the latest toy.

(And thanks for the weather report. Soon...)

What is your budget?

Since there are SO MANY SUV's out there now you should look for one that fill YOUR needs.

I have specific personally opinions about what SUV's are good and not so good, but we may never use them in the same way. Therefore what works for me many not work for you.

I like taking road trips (camping, climbing, skiing, mountain biking) in all kinds of weather and the 944 makes the drives throughout California great. The luggage area is sufficient, but often I wish I had more space.
You should see some of the roads I've had this thing on, and I'm lucky I got out of many of them. I've been joking for years about wanting a 4WD 944 with more ground clearance and luggage space. I think the Cayenne might be just the thing for me.

Budget? Well.... Its not so much about budget more about value. Realistically budget range is probably $30-60k

I really like the RR - but relatiability and MAJOR depreciation is preventing me from pulling the trigger here.

Mercedes just doesnt do it for me for some reason. The X5 is alright. I really like the look of the older LandCruisers (95-97?), the new ones look decent and for non-issue cars they are probably great.

I guess there isnt much out there that I really like, so if thats the case maybe I should just go buy another 4runner. Car is ok, power is ok, and reliability is certainly there.
