The T-egg has the P-fish hands down...and at more then half the price. That'll be what you hear, "I could have bought the Porsche version, but why spend the extra money."
The P-fish interior in light colors hurts my eyes - especially that GM beige version. From the outside the P-fish is way too "hippy" at the corners, where as the T-eggs smoother shape is in keeping with the overall product line.
And the catfish face of the P-fish is of course what'll drive 'em to the showroom

I'm not crazy about the light interior colors either but I think a tan interior comes off just as poorly in just about any other car you can name. Even though you can have a VW at half the price most egos are going to go for the Porsche if they can afford it.

There's one thing about the Cayenne interior that beats the 996, Boxster, and practically every other Porsche made hands-down: It doesn't have the awful fuzzy carpet on the lower part of the doors! I hope that this means that Porsche has come to its senses and has decided to stop with the 1970's chintz look.
As for the interior, I'd like to see it in black or a dark grey. The beige is funky, and that grey looks like it has some nasty green-blue in it. Perhaps a "deviated" option will be available, with black on the top of the dash, doors, carpets, etc. I like this look on the 993, 928, etc.
The gauge cluster looks like it might be shared with the VW, with different trim rings and gauge faces. VW/Audi/etc. typically have nice gauges, so this isn't such a bad thing, but it doesn't look much like a Porsche cluster. At least the stalks should be nice, unlike the flimsy and cheap-feeling units in the 996/Boxster.
One magazine review referred to the "trad 3-spoke Porsche steering wheel". I see nothing traditional about this multi-button monstrosity. Did Porsche hire one of the ex-Pontiac designers?
Overall, I like the Cayenne well-enough, but some of the styling cues leave much to be desired. What I wonder is whether or not I'll feel the same way in a year or two, or five. I remember when I first saw a 993, thinking that it looked rather bulbous, and that it looked like a 911 that had melted a bit. Now I think that the 993 is one of the most beautiful Porsches ever made. The 993 certainly didn't change...

The interior colors come in four shades. Black, Green, two-toned beige ( the upper dash is called Havana beige and the lower dash and seats are called sand beige), And finaly two-toned grey ( upper dash is stone grey and the lower dash and seats come in steel grey )

I don't think it looks half bad. I do get a chuckle out of the left-hand ignition switch. Does this mean we might see a Cayenne GTS at Le Mans?

I like it, looks as good as any other off roader on the market (well maybe the X5 is a little prettier)...but I would have one.
Its difficult to get a good idea without seeing one on the road...but people should keep an open mind.

If I could afford it, I wouldn't buy one. I'd start to consider thinking about maybe debating a possible purchase.
I would not get that Beige Tan color interior. Black exterior with some way bigger tires would be kinda cool no?
