Seems Porsche does not give discounts for European delivery, does anyone know what it cost to get European delivery for a 2013 Cayenne?
Just curious about the ED pricing for Porsche. For ED customers, do they have a different msrp, say ED msrp, their cars? In BMW's case, the ED MSRP is about 10 percent off of the US Msrp and the ED invoice is even lower (and most ED-certified dealers offer 650-1000 over ED invoice pricing). I am wondering if Porsche offered this kind of saving for their customers. Thank you.

Hey AKA,
Up here in Canada I haven't seen any tourist delivery pricing, just a no cost option or a cost option to have the Navi loaded with European maps and then loaded with North American maps when your Porsche gets PDI'd in NA.
I haven't seen any discounts for tourist delivery.
Of course, something can be said for the value of an item when it has to be discounted vs the value of an item which doesn't have to be discounted.

Of course driving around the Porsche track (including off road too) was amazing. Getting my car up to 145 mph on the Autobahn was pretty cool. Of the places we went, I'd have to say the trip to Andermatt Switzerland and the Gotthard pass. Scenery was the most beautiful I've seen. Waterfalls, mountains, lakes, clean, peaceful, uncrowded. Had little qualms filling up our empty plastic water bottles in the waterfalls coming down the mountain.

In general, the classic European cities we visited gave us good feeling for Europe. One night revisiting my old hippie experiences in Amsterdam was also a trip

For me, the ED, other than having someone in Atlanta, coordinating things for me, it was transparent. You buy the car at a dealer here, request a $0 ED option and negotiate your price. You pay for the car. You go to Europe and pick it up and drive it around for up to 2 weeks or more and then leave it there to be delivered here to the dealer here. The dealer actually pays Porsche about $3K extra BUT they get an extra allotment of a car so any profit is gravy as it doesn't impact their allotment. There is no saving one way or the other unless a dealer feels otherwise.

This will DEFINITELY have to be considered into it if she thinks she wants the Cayenne vs a Range Rover.

We wanted to do it with one of the BMWs and didnt. Then we went on a long trip , by motorcycle and did the BMW plant and Munich, France, the Alsace, the passes, etc and then back to Paris. Fun - so I am looking for another reason to go.

Right now we are on to get her something new - either the Range Rover Evoque or the Cayenne which we are going over to drive this week.

I told her a bit ago if it is the Cayenne we are going to give it a real run to do the European delivery.

Thank you Resp!

I think Porsche is beginning to get ED. Has to get easier though. Only one drop off. Picked up my BMW 535xit in Munich, off to Frankfort, Amsterdahm, drop off in Paris. Seamless, and it was an additional 7% off. If it was more flexible then I would have considered it. The roads throughout all of Europe especially Germany blows away our transit system. Fun, if you go enjoy! Would liked to have gone to Berlin!

From what I read there were several drop offs for Porsche, but only back to Leipzig or to Stuttgart were for no additional costs. I am sure on the way home from the Cayenne test drive we will be discussing it though - or dropping by the Range Rover dealer LOL!

The Cayenne is a great cruiser and made for the Autobahn
If you have the possibility,I highly recommend it
And as RESP can confirm, the welcome in Leipzig is a lot of fun with the on and off road tracks, factory tour and lunch..it felt like we practically had the place to ourselves on delivery morning in April last year
Perfect way to set the mood for a groovy European vacation
