Post Electric P-car

I cant stop thinking that Porsche could had invested all those engineering energies to build the first electric sport car. Maybe something that look like the Lotus Elise with plenty of torque and swappables batteries. We could go to the track with 1 set of spares tires and 1 set of spares batteries. Bet the Japaneses will come up with that idea.

Back in college my engineering college built a can-am style two stage twin motor electric race car. With was amazing. 0-60 was 3.2 secs Topped out at 135 mph. But the batteries only lasted 2hrs. It was a great ride. SOmeone should put on a full scale electric battery powered race car series. Im sure that would spur alot of competition.

Hmmm... 2 hrs, but no pitstops for fuel.

It wouldn't be out of Porsche's history to do it. Porsche designed one...1898, one electric engine on each wheel. Kinda cool.

Actually Porsche did build a electric concept 356 in the early to mid 50's with GE.

It was up for sale recently, if I can find the web site I'll post the link.
