Soccer mom special?!!
got this in the mail from a local P-dealer..
Now through the month of June, XXX Porsche is having a
"SOCCER-MOM SPECIAL"
Be the first Mom to Soccer practice in the fastest, smoothest, coolest SUV on the planet!!!
$698 for 48 months*
*$5000 down plus tax, title, license
10,000 mile per year
I'm speechless. This is marketing?

As the PCA newsletter editor for my region, I have to agree with you, as the local Porsche Dealer "media agent" just placed the SAME SILLY AD.. I emailed back and asked if that was really the caption they wanted - and , yes - it is....
I dunno *who* comes up with these STUPID tag lines, but - IN MY OPINION ONLY (I have to say that!) - they should be fired.....

Wonder if this is the culmination of the "old man's" ambition... a platform for "soccer moms"!
Chicago and John, check out the "Lotus" post on the 944 et al. post... really shows the natural superiority of a car designed by one or a small group of people who have the elan (sorry, couldn't resist the pun!) to put their soul into the design of the machine.
Seems like such a slap in the face to have Porsche (the man) 's name attached to such a cheezy advertisment.

I think there was another thread about 3rd row seat...I think that is a prerequisite for a "soccer mom". As stated in that thread, I would not want my two kids in the 3rd row of an SUV as small as the Cayenne (compared to a Suburban, Navigator, Expedition, Escalade, etc).
It appears with this promotion that not only is Porsche alienating their enthusiasts, they are alienating alot of their potential buyers.
