My brand new Pepper: Pics and Impressions
As promised, here are some pics and my impressions:
My "S"-Pepper has the following options installed (I think some of them are standard in the US):
</font>
The interior quality is pretty good and the design is just "cool". I haven't notice anything to complain about (this is a good thing considering that coming from an Audi sets the standard rather high). The Bose Surround Sound is definitely a must have. The quality of the sound is impressive. I guess our dog won't love it that much since he will be sitting on the subwoofer!! The entry & drive is handy since you don't have to search for the key in your pockets. However a button instead of a key-like **** would have been better (Would make it less likely that a potential thief thinks that the key was left in the car). The compass in the head-unit is not worth the extra-bucks since there's a compass on the map of the navigation system. The CD-changer is also a must have to avoid frequently switching between navigation-cd and music-cd.
Some minor negative points I've noticed so far:

(if anyone would like the original, higher quality pics, just send me a note)
Overall it's just a wonderful car and I don't have any regrets about the decision of becoming a "Peppy".

Gruezi Peppy ! Herzlichen Glückwunsch zur blauen Rakete! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Great pics, great car! I truely love that color <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
There are way too many Audi S4 in CH already so this one is a very refreshing alternative...
And no "Autoverlad" in winter anymore, with these offroad capabilities and winter tyres you will love to go after closed snow-covered pass roads
But Matt, this beauty doesn't deserve to be parked next to "Mülltonnen"... <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />
Have fun with your Pepper and always Gute Fahrt!

Congratulations on your new Cayenne. I am getting mine on Tuesday with the same colours as you have chosen. Have you considered putting on any sort of paint protection like the 3M Stone guard? Does the Lapis blue really show every spec of dust?
Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
Yes, Lapis blue does show every spec of dust. But I think that's a disadvantage of all dark colors, not just Lapis blue. On the other hand, that gives you the opportunity to wash your "baby" even more frequently. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
As regards the paint protection, I haven't considered it yet (won't do a lot of off-roading and the roads in Switzerland are not that bad). Anyway, which parts would you cover with that?
And good luck next Tuesday, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Ngfan,
Thank's for the "Glueckwuensche". I'm glad that I gave up my delayed order for this beauty abandonned by another guy shortly before delivery but not willing to wait any longer.
I didn't notice the garbageboxes in the background of the photo until I read your reply. But I will make sure that it won't happen again, promised

Hi Matt,
I don't plan to do much off-roading either and the roads here in Toronto (no SARS jokes please. It actually is not as bad as you hear on TV) are not bad either. However, it is quite common to have stones thrown up from a truck or other car. I am planning to put the 3M film on my hood (about half way up) and on the front bumper. From what I hear, it will not show and should offer some great protection.
