Default Battery drain + 15503 durametric code

Hi,

I have a 05 Cayenne Turbo. If i leave the car for more than a week there's a good chance i will not be able to start it due to a low battery.

I've changed the battery a couple of weeks ago and i still have the problem after being fully charged.

I ran a diagnostic through the durametric software and pulled up one failure:

GATEWAY Module
15503
Display CAN
No signal/communication

Do you think this failure could be the issue?

Thx, Stu

I have seen a similar Durametric error before from the GW, however, I do not have the error message.

I doubt that is the problem.

Normally with these battery drain sort of issues, the first step is to disconnect ANYTHING aftermarket. Car chargers, radar detectors, aftermarket HU.

15503 is not a valid Porsche fault code.

If the battery is replaced, both numbers (battery size and battery manufacturer ) must be entered in the gateway control unit under: Gateway/Maintenance, repairs/Change battery.
This could explain the No signal CAN message, but it won't explain the drain issue.

Best,
