Default Wanted! 2005 Cayenne Turbo

Let me know of any leads guys, I'm hunting for one.

Must haves: Tow package, Home Link, no gray interior.

Color preference: Blue, White, Silver/Grey, black

Mileage: The lower the better, but willing to get one up to 65k miles or so.

Maintenance: Prefer one with all records, coolant pipes/cardan shaft/coils done

Location: the closer to Denver CO the better

Pricing: Willing to pay $25k, perhaps a bit more for really well kept car that comes with snow wheels/tires in addition to summer wheels/tires, etc.

TIA!

FWIW, adding Homelink is a simple DIY using OEM parts from Sunset or Suncoast.
I would not make that a requirement of your search.

$400ish plus the hassle of install isn't it? I looked into this and decided to find one that had it pre-installed.

Looks like a rebadged turbo to turbo s, with ugly wood interior. Otherwise very clean!

How can you tell that it's not a Turbo S?

They didn't make a turbo S until 2006 and only in 2006 for that year group. It's a phony rebadge.

You need to check the service records with Porsche and have the PPI'd by a Porsche dealer to go over all the details. Brakes are a big deal ($1k per axle), cardon shaft, cooling pipes, cracked coil packs and other maintenance.

Recommend being very careful with Alpha/Beta (2004) asnthey were totally new and all new model cars (wespecially ones that had never been built before) have growing pains and issues.

Buyer beware and get it checked thoroughly.

So a 2006 is a better bet for reliability?

I've heard about very expensive brakes...

2005 and 2006 are your best bets in my opinion. I had a 2005 new and loved it. The new ones are even better but of course the entry fee is steep.

Btw, sold mine to the dealer when I got a new one and they gave me $30k (which was wholesale for a 2005 with only 48k miles). I made up price differences on the new one...

Mine had some rare options like the 4 zone a/c, roof rails, Sirius, Nav (standard on turbos), 20" Sport Techno wheels with spacers, front and rear stainless, side skirts, themo glass, etc. it listed for almost $110k in 2005 which was top of the field. Then I added FVD computer and exhaust for 550hp plus lowering module (all told about 10k in upgrades).

It sold for 35k at the Porsche dealer and the buyer got a good deal.
