Default A trail of ATF on Rt7

Did a search on this and came up empty.
The AT output shaft seal failed on my 2004 CS with 65K mi. The undercarriage was coated with ATF as well as a couple of mi of highway.

Fortunately this happened a few mi from home and near a reputable indy shop.

Stuff happens but has anyone noticed a delay in obtaining P parts?
Took 2 days to get the $45/qt ATF to top off the AT and diagnose the leak and now another 3 days for the seal to arrive.

The Pig experienced a deer hit in December and the radiator core support (plastic) took a week to show up.

It is a great Sunday driver but a reliable beater as second car is must.

You don't have to use the Porsche ATF, it's available elsewhere.
You don't say where you are, how far are you from civilization (or one of the Porsche parts dist. warehouses).
What priority did your indy put on the parts order? Every time I've ordered parts from the dealer they've asked if it's a rush order or if it can go in with their regular order.
You'll get some (but not very many) parts from NAPA, but then this isn't a Chevy.
