Default Walnut steering wheel

Specing out a new '12 Cayenne S which will be my wife's DD. She'd like the walnut interior, including the three spoke, multifunction steering wheel in walnut. I'm concerned that the wood portion of the sw will be subject to scratches, especially from rings. Anyone with that sw who would like to comment on how yours have held up?

Friday will be a year since I've had my '11 P!G as a DD. Closing in on 28k miles (and it looks pristine) and the reason I went with the wood steering was because on the previous P!G (which had almost 130k miles on it) the only part of the interior that didn't hold up good was .... the steering. Definitely recommended. And yes, I wear rings, it's all good, tried & tested

We have the walnut wood package in our Cayenne, including the steering wheel. It has worn very, very well. It still looks great after over 100K miles.

I have the black birch steering wheel on my 2011 Cayenne S. No problems with scratching, and it heats up nicely in the winter.
