Default Just purchased Cartronics Blurtooth & IPod integration

Well just wanted to note I pulled the trigger and bought this system from Cartronics today. Boy was it tough forking over $900.00 for this. But I figured it was time. I have had my Cayenne for a year and have wanted this from day 1. Plus my wife's new Infiniti EX 35 has this feature. Hate the fact her car has something mine doesnt have. Is anyone else using this exact setup.

I'd be very interested in how this performs. I have an 04 CS and have been considering this setup for some time. Good luck with your install!

Latest versions may not work with 04CS unless the phone control icons are on PCM

As far as the Bluetooth I had my concerns. But they assured me that it will work fine. (Plus they have a return policy). The only catch is the calls have to be initiated from the phone which is not a big deal. I will post a follow up when it comes.

Mine worked on the 04, but later firmware (I was told) made it difficult. I used the iphone to initiate and end calls just fine. iPod always worked (but takes some getting used to)

With my 08 I have the digital Parrot circuit Mobridge and it works great using PCM 2.1 phone functions, iPod works great and once you figure out the importance of playlists it will for you to, iPod over BT is hitty missy and not really usable

I've got to get one of these now, as hitty missy is my only reason for existence.

New to the forum. I have a 04 Cayenne Turbo without phone option on the PCM. Can u tell me what u get in the kit from Cartronics? How does it work? I live in Norway and has never heard of this company before. Was it easy to install?

The kit includes BT with Mic but you would have to use your phone to make and receive calls, it comes with a charging iPod cable

Thx for the reply. If I understand this correctly, you get the sound out on the stereo, and u talk in the external mic, but u have to navigate threw the phone itselfe? Does anything come up on the PCM screen? Sorry for my english, I hope u understand the question. Was it hard to install? I saw some installation videos on YouTube and it didnt look too difficult.
