Default First offroad for 05 CTT

Over the holidays I had the opportunity to take my baby for some minor offroading to see how it would do. I was at a farm with some nice steep slopes so I went in mountain goat mode, lifted her up and started climbing (on 20" street tires). Everything went well, no issues, handled the steep muddy inclines after rain with ease. Then I went to drive around a parked car in the driveway area to get to some more challenges and discovered something wonderful. The runoff from the hill creates a three foot deep clay bog that is completely hidden from the naked eye since it's covered in grass! Pigs love wallowing in mud and mine really went for it, buried up to the top of the rear tire and leaning on the body panels. I eventually had to drag it out with a chain but no damage just scratched up the one rim from spinning in gravel/clay mix. Pretty funny, here are a couple pics.

Yep everything was fine, those are some well made durable body panels, just the rim scratches but that'll happen. It really did handle everything else surprisingly well, lots of very steep muddy inclines and climbing over some ditches and such. It was hilarious to me that after that it was defeated essentially in the driveway- if I didn't know better I might assume they set a trap for me.

Cool. I'm tempted to challenge my CS in such a fashion. Now you know the limit! I live in the bush so have had lots of experience at getting bogged in my 2 wheel drive rides!

If I attempted to do this I would need to get offroad wheels as I just refinished my 21s 1 month ago

Thanks for sharing
