Brake Pad Warning light question

HI I'm new to this thread. I found this forum while back while looking for a fix to this same problem. I found my solution so I thought I come back and share it for others since I see no one has posted the solution that I've found.
anyway it was a very simple fix for me all I had to do was clean the to metal prongs inside the connector (Porsche side) where your new break sensors plug. mine had gotten a little corrosion on them and I guess it was enough to break the connection. I just wrapped a bit of fine emery cloth around a small flat screwdriver to clean it. Then when I plugged it in, poof! no more break pad symbol on startup
hope this helps someone from pulling as much hair out as I did!

I replaced my pads today they were not worn out just badly glazed and grooved as were the rotors, I replaced pads and rotors and reused the sensors , I pulled them out of the pads carefully and intact, but after doing the brakes the brake likgt go to workshop comes on.

Quickest fix:
Unplug each and test for continuity with a multimeter. When you find the one that is open, just clip it on the brake pad side of the harness and short the wires using your method of choice.

Not a concern at all. I have a number of vehicles that never came with pad sensors or screechers on the pads and it is a nonissue in my opinion.
I like to change my pads the same way I use the brakes! Late and full pressure!
The pad sensors come on way too early for my taste, and one will give you plenty of time. If they are so out of balance that one sensor does not catch both sides, you are likely due for some major brake work anyways and scraping up the rotor is a non-issue.

Here we go again, same problem with a little more drama. replaced pads w/ceramic Hawks. sensors also and resurfaced the rotors. the Hawk pads suck. Noisy and dusty and loss of the great sensitive feel of oem pads. I did my homework and thought I made a good choice. NOT. The brake pad warning light will not go out AND a panic stop will not kick in the ABS. HELP!

Probably a good idea to replace brake fluid at the same time if it's due.

well you answered your own question- loss of oem brake feel since you switched to hawk pads. Put OEM Pagid brake pads with new sensors. Also check to see if the rotors are still above min thickness.

the main reason I went with hawk ceramic was to reduce brake dust and, I was told by the sales person I would not lose brake feel. wasn't the first time I was lied to. Is this what you were talking about? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hella-PAGID-355013801-Front-Disc-Brake-Pad-Set-for-Porsche-Boxster-Cayman/363092413193?epid=194878832&hash=item5489fe8b09:gosAAOSwibJfTjcA
