Default Trunk/Boot does not shut easily.

I couldn't find this problem on the searches...

I have to really slam the trunk to get it to close properely each time, I checked to see if anything was in the way (like the kids fingers) but seems ok.

Anyone else had the problem or what to look for?

Cheers

Miles

I had similar problems. I played and tinkered and adjusted and messed with the thing but couldn't get it right. I finally took it to a body shop. They fixed it in 10 minutes, good as new! In my case either the latch or striker moved a bit and wouldn't allow the mechanism to catch. It was a quick adjustment and fitment, but needed someone with an experienced "touch" to get it right. It was a cheap job and well worth the price considering the wasted time and aggravation of DIY.
