Scams for pretty faces?

Scams for pretty faces?
As I search the globe for that perfect Cayenne, I sometimes come across the same vehicle listed on Ebay for one price and on one of the car search engines for a dramatically lower price. Example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...item2569e79a25 (open this link in a new tab) - currently at $50,108
same car:
http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/por...e&distance=any
Offered at $36,00
I have seen this phenomenon a few times. Clearly, the Yahoo listing, which has no real information, is suspect. So what is the scam? Do the posters think someone is going to wire them a ton of cash because of an unrealistically low price and a pretty picture?

Yes these scam listings are so prevalent now you can often see the same car listed 4 or 5 times in different locations and from different sellers. Typically the seller's name is female (divorce sale and don't know much about the car, don't have a drivers license or some other BS), plates are usually covered.

I ran into a few of these while searching for my Cayenne.
They hope to get someone to send a deposit payment to hold the car.
The amount they get is in direct relation to how dumb the potential buyer is.
