Does a "fender bender" affect car value?

Got rear-ended in my SL63. The damage cost about $2800 to repair, the insurance company gave me $1300 for diminished value.

It is my understanding that Porsche will not certify a vehicle that has had more than superficial cosmetic damage so if it is certified I would guess little or no loss of value.
