Default Radio inop in Acc. position with Most-Hur install

I just had a Kenwood dnx 6180 with the Nav Tv Most Hur harness installed in my 2004 Cayenne . The radio "head unit" will only come on when the key is in the on position , nothing powers up in the accessory position . I have had it back to the shop and they cant fix it , they do alot of Porsche's and have been on the phone with Kenwood and Nav tv . Does anyone have any help for me on this one , I hate leaving the vehicle in the on position with everything activated just to listen to the radio ...
Thanks in advance Rick M

More than the headunit needs to power up, did the car have a PCM or a CDR23 ? does it have Bose ?

yes it has bose and that is why the Most-Hur module and harness was necessary
I am happy with the unit , just want it to work in accessory

The red switched power wire from the radio must be hooked up to the MOST-Hur switched power lead only, not to the car.

I have a Kenwood DNX-6960 in my C4S, and it is the same way. It only works when the key is in the "on" position. I never really thought of it as a problem - I just assumed it was supposed to be this way.

I would suggest contact Moni down at NAV-TV. I am not familiar with their HUR.

FWIW, MOST components only have a continuous 12V supply; they do not understand Accessory. They generally wake up on front panel or a CAN wakeup message.

Again, from an OEM perspective, you should be able to enter the vehicle ( a CAN message is sent as soon as you open the door ) , sit down and simply press the Volume **** on the head unit....

The infotainment system should then power on ( and plat for a predetermined time, then shut off to prevent battery drain). You can then press the **** again if desired, or simply start the vehicle.
