The lights are not % with a shade like llamin x film etc. This is a new product here in the UK, up close the film is perforated which makes it legal to put on the lights front and rear. The rear lights were lightly sprayed then vinyled over, i tinted also did the side indicators and the front fog lights aswell. this stuff just peels off leaving no glue residude on the plastic lenses should you wish to take it off at a later date, Should have then wheels done within a few weeks

Looks good in the picture thats a nice colour! The vinyl product thats perforated is made by SPi Vision you may be able to get it in the US? It is good as it dosent affect the light output and is legal here in the uk i didnt go down the route of Lamin x at that does make the light ouput slightly less, I own a window tinting company and i didnt use film on them!!!

I just don't understand darkening up tail/brake lights. Personally I want them as visible as possible. What's really crazy is the custom motorcycles with the little dime sized rear lights. But maybe that's just me....

I just contacted CoolTint to see if they would ship to USA, and inquire on price.
If it's unreasonable, I will prolly just go with the 6% from Lamin-x.

Reason? My headlights are getting cracks and blurred. I've used 3M headlight restore and have gotten them as good as they are going to get. I even had a professional body shop do sanding up to 3000 grit and they do not look brand new. I'm very **** about the looks of headlights, especially ones as big and noticeable on the cayenne. With the protective film on the headlight, you cannot tell the scratches/blur/cracks. And I'm NOT paying $900 a piece for new headlights. =P

I had the Optic Blue on my Saab and loved the visual look. It set my car apart from everyone else and really matched my color scheme. The blue didn't have any effect on lighting, although I'm sure the 6% or 12% from lamin-x might. I do have Bi-xenon, so I'm sure they will still be bright enough.

If I had a black Cayenne, I would def go with yellow or blue lamin-x, but those colors won't look good on titanium paint... so tint is my choice here.

EDIT:

I actually just found a chart explaining the visibility.

> Blackout Static Tint: 20% Light Transmission
> Blue Smoke Tint: 83% Light Transmission
> Clear Film: 100% Light Transmission
> Smoke (Dark) Tint: 67% Light Transmission
> Smoke (Light) Tint: 87% Light Transmission
> Yellow Smoke Tint: 86% Light Transmission
