Can I leave the door mirror switch on 'heat'?
No luck on the forum search or with the owner's manual, so here's the question: Does it cause any damage or premature wear to leave the door mirror in the straight vertical 'heat' setting for extended periods?
I ask both because I usually leave it on 'adjuster Driver's side' and will turn it to heat and forget to turn it back and because my OCD prefers the switch in the straight up position.

This is a typical VW design that has been recently re-worked on their new lineup with a neutral parking position and a separate setting for defogging. The mirrors don't draw much current however, anything with resistance left on long enough will naturally draw much needed power from your battery(s).
