Hi all,
I currently own a Boxster Spyder but have been looking for a 2nd car I can throw a bike inside or surfboard on top. I have basically narrowed it down to a new Mini Cooper Clubman or a used Cayenne. I am more familiar to the older body style Cayenne's but yesterday saw an 08 base model for 37.5k with cpo warranty at a dealer. I love how the Cayenne seems to have more room in height in the back but the long term maintenance and gas worries me. How are the 08's reliability wise? Do the v6 get better gas mileage? I know the mini is more practical but worried I'll regret needing the extra space.
Basically I want something fun to drive that I can throw stuff in. Thoughts and advice?

I have 08 CTT with 70K miles. Flawless to date. I do have an engine sensor light on but they think it is a faulty sensor. Very good in snow, excellent tow vehicle for its size. I have no regrets
