fuel pump recall
I had my 09 truck in last week for 2 year service and it had a recall for the high pressure fuel pump. It was replaced under warranty. My 09 Cayman S Cabriolet is in today for the same replacement. I see over at the 997.2 forum, they are also getting recalled. Have not had performance issues.

My SA this morning said it was more preventative, but I would contact a dealer to find out.

The high pressure fuel pump replacement applies to the later DFI vehicles. PorscheAG did not issue a recall but rather a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) to all dealers bringing their attention to a potential problem.
The list of VINs as well as the document itself can be downloaded from the Renntech website's download section (if you're a paying member that is....).

Clearly the long term effects of cardan shaft imbalance are not appreciated by the fuel pumps nor the coils ...
FWIW and AFAIK, there has only been one actualy recall on P!gs...that was the A506 Cowboy Belt buckle.
Everything else is just "recommended/preventative/in case the owner figures it out service actions"
