Default CAI Intake Comparison Thoughts?

I have a 09'GTS and have already added the Techart Lowering Module, the NavTV Backup camera interface, and custom/modified short shifter. Now I am considering my final 2 mods for the year Sharkwerks Cat ByPass and CAI.

So I am looking at the following CAI's

Agency Power seen here

and the

Evolution Motor Sports unit seen here

I suspect that they will give identical performance, but I am wondering if I over looked any important details.

The evoms seem to seal out the engine air better, however the agency has bigger filters. The evoms should have less air turbulence with on less connection point however I like the solid aluminum tubing as I know it won't collapse.

I am concerned about not using oiled gauze filters while I know the oil can cause MAF issues, I experienced this on my M3. I am not sure I think the Synthetic filter will clean-up completely to allow full flow after extended use.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Anyone installed a Cold Air Intake on their Cayenne GTS (or S) ??
Any feedback on Agency Power or EVOMS intakes will be greatly appreciated.

I am not sold on the performance benefits of a CAI for the cayenne. I think that the only real difference is in sound.

I've got Evoms CAI together w/ other mods.
I also did a custom ram intake so the CAI is getting lots of fresh air and is a true CAI. Sound is great, I'm not sure about performance benefits as I've done lots of other mods all at once

Here's a dyno comparison of our tune and tune+intake:

The intake itself adds about 5whp and 5wtq at peak, but gives greatest gains of about 15wtq around 3200rpm--in terms of flywheel numbers, it's about 8hp and 10ft-lb peak, and about 17-20ft-bl. The tune and the intake together really make a huge difference in power, especially below 4000rpm--gains 30ft-lb at the wheels at 2700rpm and at least 15-20ft-lb throughout most of the powerband. With the Cayenne drivetrain losses, that is in the 25-40ft-lb range, which is significant.

The intake is $695 and the tune is regularly $1800, on sale for 20% off through Friday. Contact me if you're interested in either and I'll put together a deal .

That is the kind of hard numbers we all need to evaluate these products. Too many times all that the customer gets to work with are claims. If there are gains to be had dyno sheet numbers will really help sales for the vendor. That dyno is with a GTS, of course I am curious about a turbo.
Thanks!
