Default Sports Package question

Hey folks,
I just placed an order for a 2012 Cayenne Turbo, with a sports package. In addition to paddles, do any of you know whether the steering wheel that comes with the package has any other multi-function controls - e.g., toggling through screens? thanks!!!

I have 2011 CTT with sport package. There is a second lever on lower right of steering column to control multifunction display in dash.

Yes. My '11 CS with paddle shift wheel has the extra stalk.

Default generally, for those who responded, are you all satisfied with the sports package?

would you recommend purchasing the sports package?

I have a CS, not a TT, but I have all the same suspension bits as a TT with sport package; PASM, AS, PTV, PDCC and the paddle shift wheel. Some may say why bother with the handling goodies on an SUV, but I love having them. PDCC virtually eliminates sway and PTV helps make turn in very crisp and responsive. There is no sport package, per se, on the CS so I paid $3500 for PDCC and $1500 for PTV. The paddle wheel is a no cost option. On the TT all 3 are about $3500 so it's a relative bargain in comparison. I would recommend it.

thanks - I decided to go for the sports package, but I am bummed that there is no heated steering wheel! I could just by the PDCC and PTV seperately, and forgo the sports steering wheel, but that adds cost to the turbo.

Please tell me you're not worried about spending an extra $1500 on a $100k+ car to option it exactly the way you want it??

I'd suggest deleting the paddles (after all it's an SUV with an automatic transmission, not PDK) and I'd get the multi-function steering wheel, which is very nice ... just the two scroll wheels are invaluable alone.)

I know Porsche can be pretty **** about substitutions, but since the paddle wheel is a no cost option relative to the MF wheel it might be worth asking them if you can order the sports package with a MF wheel.

I have to agree about the MF wheel. I have not used the sport wheel, but the stalk seems like it would be more cumbersome than the wheels and buttons. The wheel is very well designed. only thing missing is a station/track advance button.

I like the sport package and the paddles. The shift toggles on the standard wheel are cumbersome to use if you are driving hard. Again, sport package and sport wheel are only valued if you drive twisty's and use the equipment.

Default Sport steering

Hi,
Anyone with a sport steering can confirm if the extra stalk will let you navigate through menus and submenus in the TFT display?
If that is the case, it can be possible to select tracks, find a phone contact and make the call, answer the phone, etc.

I am trying to decide between both steering wheels in my 991 configuration.
Please let us Know

Ditto! I drove the 2011 CS early this year... and loved the scroll wheel. it is soo easy to go thru the menu items.

You can set the diamond key on the left side of the wheel to advance the station/track in the settings menu I believe.
