2008 cayenne turbo a gift or a curse ?
I see a couple of 2008 cayenne turbo in perfect condition around 55k - 65k.
Which is 3 times less than the price when new and they are only 3 years old.
Too good to be true ? or they are cursed like the older cayenne.
My question is: are the 2008 turbo 'fixed' or they have the same horrible reliability problem as the older one ?
If reliable they are kind of the bargain of the century a little bit like the Porsche 996.
Anyways I am on the fence between a 2012 cayenne v6, 2008 CTT, a 2012 range rover sport. I am just afraid the 2012 V6 might not be enough power to be fun on straight roads. And because they are sold out, impossible to test drive one...

The 2011/2012 has a much improved interior compared to the 2008 - 2010. As for the V6 vs. TT, you are comparing two vastly different engines. Also, I think the 2012 V6 (4475 for the Auto) weighs about 900 LBS less than the 2008 TT (5357). That is a lot of extra weight, especially when braking and cornering. I believe the top speed of the 2012 V6 is 142 MPH.
I just ordered a 2012 V6 to replace the 2009. I test drove a RR Sport, and it feels like a School Bus compared to the Cayenne.

55-65k is a normal price for 08 CTT. The original MSRP is 110k-140k. Half of MSRP is reasonable for a luxurary car. It's the same for GL450, X5, Q7.
It's too early to judge the reliability of 08. But the 05-06 models are not very bad when you compare them with X5. Besides the few common problems in sticky, it's a reliable truck.
