so today i was driving and all of a sudden an exclamation sign with the hood open pic pops up on my dash. i pulled over and checked and it was closed. i opened the hood, closed it again and it went away. driving a little bit more it came on again then turned off. it keeps doing it randomly now.

where exactly is the switch/sensor located?

maybe loose wires?

You may want to start by checking the engine compartment light switch.

might try to spray some wd40 first before dis-assembly
