Default Water spots on silver trim, B and C pillars 2005 Cayenne

I have a 2005 Cayenne S. The silver/aluminum looking trim around the windows is covered in water spots. I've tried everything I can think of to remove the water spots. Any suggestions?

What exactly are the trim pieces made of? I don't want to damage it trying to remove the water spots/stains.

thanks

Years ago, back in the alpha/beta days, there were TSB's regarding the stainless steel trim pieces....either "rusting" or "self ejecting".
You might contact your dealer and ask him to take a look.

Apart from that, I would suggest posting the question of (hard) water spot removal in the Detailing and Concours forum.
