Default Question about cigarette lighter

I just bought a 05 Cayenne S a few days ago and I install a cam to record my journey. The cam get power from a adaptor plugged to the cigarette lighter. To my surprise, I discovered that the power to the cam via the cigarette lighter did not cut off even after I pulled out the key. I returned to the car overnight and discovered that the cam still has power.

Though the cam uses very little power but I am a bit worry about that it will still drain out the battery.

Is it normal or is there a setting that I could power off the cigarette lighter instead pulling the plug everytime I leave the car? Thanks alot in advance!

Normal, cigarette lighter outlets are always powered.
