Default checking oil level

Hello:

I have 2008 Cayenne S and wondering whether I can check the oil level from inside the car or I have to pop the hood and chk with the dip stick?

Thanks

You should have both. A gauge in the cluster in your info center before you start it and under the hood.

The '08 has a oil level gauge in the inst. cluster?

Me, I'm happy to have the dipstick.

This is news to me. I know the 911 has it inside the cluster as well but definitely not the '08+ models.

Thank you for all the response.

I know my 966TT has it and it is 2002. I thought that I might missed on the Cayenne so I ask.

I guess the only way to chk the oil level on the Cayenne is with the dip stick =)

Dipstick only.

Just change it every 5k, then no worries.
