Default 2009 Cayenne S End of Lease Options? Residuals?

Hi. Wife currently has a 2009 Cayenne S with PASM, Sunroof, Air Suspension, PCM 3.0 w/Nav, XM, Premium Package, and smokers delete which we leased back in 2009. Car is comming up on its 6 month till end of lease this Aug and will come off lease next Feb 2012. Wife likes the car but not the upkeep or overall size and fuel economy but we do use it for full family transportation (have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 parrot) so it is helpful there. However she questions if she needs all that power of the S and V8 (as do I) often. That said it was my daily driver for the 1st four months we had it till she confiscated it.

So questions are 1) Is there the ability to negotiate the buy out with Porsche Financial IF we decide to keep it? 2) How easy is the turn in process IF we choose not to keep the car and buy out the lease? 3) Would anyone entertain re-leasing the new 2011 Cayenne v6 as I hear it is a better car albeit not smaller one, 4) What would be the average value of the Cayenne now IF I was to buy one on the market as I hear that can play a role in negotiating residuals? Vehicle is in great condition and has about 29k miles (she's averaged between 12000 and 16000/annually). Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Yes, it needs the V8.

I'm not in the business so can only guess which would be 'doubtful'. Having said that, my lease was up in Jan 09 and I was able to negotiate a reduced buy out in Dec 08 as that was the bottom of the financial meltdown. If I were you, I'd wait until year end and negotiate in Nov or Dec as Porsche may want it off their books at year end. GL, dave

I was picturing the parrot riding on your shoulder with it's head out the open sunroof, wings spread, pretending it was flying...
