My wife is from Hamburg, Germany and wanted to do her own research before we bought our '05 Cayenne "S" complete with all options (Turbo seats, NAV, 22" Porsche rims, front and rear parking proximeter, etc).
The link below is a TUV report that should provide some additional fire power to the argument for the reliability of the 05's and newer as it is an independent study performed by the German TUV Authority (these are the guys who perform the safety checks on all vehicles registered in Germany) on manufacture reliabilty by make and model in Europe. Notice where the Cayenne and Boxster sit on this list, with the 911 not much farther down the list!

If you go to the Cayenne specific page you will see that the study seems to include 04 and up. So it proves nothing about 05s.
You will also see that the Cayenne faired much better than 911 and Boxter.

Hmmm...good point...this report really accounts for '04s and above then....still a very promising find to the arguement that Porsche continues to be a truly reliable brand.

You MAY need to copy and paste the link into your browser if one click is not bringing you to the rankings page...
