noticed several times.. i hear a "whining" sound when i'm slowly moving.. thought it's just the brakes (i may need pads soon), but it's when i am not stepping on the breaks.. slowly rolling from stop, to moving (maybe 1-2 mph like in a traffic).. anybody had this before? (06 CTT-S @ 33k)

whining or bearing noise ? front diff makes noise, not bad just noisy

i think it's more of whining than bearing noise... it's sounds like something needs lubing.. any part (or parts) in the cardan shaft that needs lubing? it's closer to the sound when you slowwwwllly break (when pads and/or disc needs replacing - but never had yet) and it starts to make a mild whining noise before it completely stops.. that's how (the sound) is..

I've noticed the same thing too. When I'm waiting at a stoplight, the moment I take my foot off the brake to accelerate I hear this same noise when the car starts to move. It's as if the brakes are not fully releasing?

Pretty normal, they all do it. Front diff and drivetrain noise. Nothing to worry about.
