Hi all,
Have just had a great few weeks with our new (to us) 2003 CTT and are being bugged ever so slightly by voodoo sunroof - the sunroof randomly opens and closes for no apparent reason - wondered if this is a common phenomenon or whether we have a "porschetergeist" inhabiting our sunroof ?
Would love to hear thoughts.

Sounds like some type of short, maybe in the switch. Never heard of that one.

 

Does it seem to happen during or after a rainfall?

As Km pointed out, the switch may be the culprit as it's location at the upper console may get soaked if the sunroof drains get blocked and overflowing water seeps into the switch.

 

new one on me, faulty roof switch sounds the most likely issue

 

this was an issue on mine from time to time........I found some loose cardboard from the cayenne jamming when it would open and close...........or lack of fully closing or opening and popping right back open as if possessed
