Question iPod and Bluetooth Options?

What are the different options available for bluetooth and iPhone (iPod) functionality with the MOST system? I have an 06 CTT without an installed CD changer (harnesses hanging back there). I NEED at least iPod, would prefer to be able to use Pandora on my iPhone.

I'm also interested in feedback on how these systems integrate with the vehicles displays.

Thanks for your input.

I researched this quite a bit. There are essentially two main options. mObridge or Dension. Based upon reading a lot of reviews from the various Porsche forums, it seems that Porsche Cayenne owners are happier and more satisfied with the mObridge unit. I just ordered this and plan on installing it next weekend:

However, if you don't care about bluetooth, then this may do:

Thanks for the info. If you don't mind me asking, what dealer did you go with?

Awesome, thanks.

Does anyone use an iPhone with mObridge that might be able to tell me if Pandora plays through the system too? I've had some difficulty with other systems not recognizing the iPhone as an iPod and also not being able to play podcast through third party apps such as Podcaster and Pandora Radio.

The Dension, from reports from our customers, allows Pandora and iTunes via Bluetooth streaming.

Not really sure any threads give you a full survey of who is happy with what, but I can tell you we have plenty of Cayenne owners quite happy with the Dension with and without bluetooth. Easy to update via onboard USB, easy to use once you learn the menu, retains factory cd changer if desired, etc.

I would see no reason why with a simple adapter you could not use the AUX input for this (3.5 headphone plug to a audio input). I have a satellite radio plugged into it which works beautifully.

The iPhone works great with the mObridge but have never tried what you inquire about.

BT Audio is available on later model Cayenne just not on early ones. I would email Scott and Mobridge and ask the question regarding your model

I love the Sync system on my daughters Ford, as soon as I get in the car and say "Bluetooth audio" it starts playing my stuff instead of her more Ghetto oriented music (Boom Boom Boom Boom)

Never mind another 10 years PAG might see the light

People said that 10 years ago ... someone even took his frustration to the grave with him ...

+1 on the Sync system...except for the "Powered by Microsoft" part

Wait until you see the successor to the current MOST interface.

Of course, no one has really been able to get it to work in a car yet

Lovely

Something to look forward to.

Friend of mine on left coast working telematics for about 9 years now told me about the false starts
