Default Replacing bulbs...

Hi,

Has anyone tried replacing the door-mirror puddle lights...?

Looking to replace the original bulbs with LED items, but can't fathom out how to replace them....

TIA.....

Never heard of anyone doing it, but you might have to be careful the system does not detect the change and give you a ! all the time

I would like to replace some interior bulbs.
Do I pop of the clear cover or unscrew the bolts and pull out the whole unit?
Please advice, I would hate to break something.

I replaced all the bulbs with the Porsche LED package, the vanity mirrors were the worst part of it for me. I completly gave up on the puddle lights, paid the dealer $200 to do them. PM me, I think I still have the instructions, the problem is they reference shop manuals for the hard parts and I do not have shop manuals.

Thanks for sharing the layout for replacing the bulbs. Now I do not have to go to the garage. Thank you.

The mirrors were easy for me, just tilt them inside and pull them out. They popped our easily, then you press the glass in when done. I swapped all the bulbs except the reading lights above the rear view mirror. How do I access those?

In their ads, LED suppliers like to tout their blue color, and do not mention lumens. I prefer a whiter color and want the brightest ones available. Who has the brightest LEDs?

My wife's nephew did the puddle lights on his Cayenne, these are the steps.
1) pry out the mirror glass, disconnect the wire connected to the mirror
2) remove the round metal plate that is holding the mirror
3) remove the body color cover, you need to unclip from the underside of the cover
4) now you can twist and remove the light socket

Looks like you have an '06? I have a '05 CS.

I changed all interior and puddle lights to LED using the ECS Tuning package.

I found info on anther site...maybe 6speedonline(?)

It's somewhat nerve racking...use a plastic pry tool at the top right corner of the mirror glass and the glass will pop right out. Once the glass is out, you'll have easy access to change the bulbs. Changing both door mirror bulbs took me about 50 seconds.
