Hi!
I'm a new customer and unfortunately my brand new Cayenne S 2004 is giving me more problems than ever!!
My history begun when I had to travel for a month and no one was available to start the engine at least once a week. So when I arrived the motor car didn't start.
Remote control keeps lighting a green light but my car did not respond. So, I replaced the battery but then the problem started to get even worst, the instrument cluster keeps displaying IMMOBILIZER ACTIVE every time that I insert the key.
So, I towed the car into a workshop that owns a PIWIS TESTER where the technician said that I needed to replace the Kessy control unit. Altought i had bought this control unit, the problem still remained.
Now he says that I need to replace de steering column...
My question is, does anyone had ever experienced this situation??
Do I really need to replace the whole steering column?
What if he says that I need to replace the DME as well?
I really need some help because I don't trust in him anymore...

thanks in advance

I'd take it to Porsche. It's too expensive to throw parts at like that. Get a good diagnosis from a Porsche Tech.
