Default So how are your auto transmissions holding up

Just wondering how well the automatic transmissions are holding up in the cayenne ? I just had to have work done on my RR transmission built by ZF because of a failed o-ring at 60k miles. I think the cayenne transmission is built by Aisin, am I wrong?

I remember when the old mercedes automatics would last forever.... that does not seem to be the case anymore.

If you have had problems, what kind?

Are transmission rebuild parts easily available ?

Thanks

I hope longer then that. I bought I 2008 cayenne with 59,000 miles on now 62,000 from what I have put on it. If that number is true, then I just got rapped out of 30,000.

A couple problems w/ mine (now at 58K mi).

Valve body replace, then the (transfer case) servo motor failure which also necessitated the s/w matching transfer case control unit replaced.

Hope that's it. At least the valve body replacement includes all new tranny fluid.

Wish I would have known. We were at A-Basin. With a fine working 85K CTT trans.
