Default New Cayenne owner...few ?? pls

Hello, great forum! Just bought a 2006 S. First Cayenne (Porsche for that matter). Few questions: It feels a bit sluggish from a stop in just normal town driving. You have to push the peddle further than normal (compared to any other vehicle I've driven...cheap or expensive) and kind of "wait" for it to start going. I guess I'm trying to say it is not very responsive from a normal start. Is this normal? And the display reads a right rear cornering light is out, but there is NO light out. Very annoying. Overall though, my wife and I love it. Just a few oddities.

Thank you

TouchUps,
Mine starts in second unless it's cold out. It is very docile and drives likes most other cars out there during regular driving. There is a little button on your dash that says PSM(I call it my happy button, my wife calls it the jerk button). Press the button, a light will go on in your dashboard. Drive it like you stole her. They like it. Also try your manual shifting either on your steering wheel controls or your shifter. It is a different car altogether.
BTW, just stomping on your gas pedal works as well.
Enjoy her.

Cornering light comes on when you turn the wheel - perhaps that's why you don't notice it is out. Easy to change - look in the owners manual.

Coincidentally, mine is out right now as well.

please tell me you are using 93 octane......no cutting corners if you want responsiveness.....06's and above have antiknock technology so it doesnt act like your dog on a choke collar....

The ECU learns your driving style.

Stomp on it for re-edumacation.

This is normal. Prior generation Cayenne spends the first few moments after start in 1st gear "warming up."
