I-Pod Integration

I-Pod Integration
Hi All,
First of all, what a great board. I look forward to chatting more here with my fellow Porsche owners. I have a 2008 Cayenne GTS that I bought new from a dealer here in Colorado. Absolutely love this ride. My only complaint is a lack of support for an MP3 player, specifically my I-Pod. Does anyone have any suggestions or first hand experiences with the integration packages out there? I can find a bunch online but unsure which one to go with. Any help is appreciated.
Take care,
Chris

Dension and mObridge are the 2 most popular choices on RL, followed by NAV-TV.
The infotainment system in the Cayenne is virtually identical to that in the Carrera/Boxster, so you will find information in various forums.

Hey Chris, welcome to RL. Our company has been working with optical integration for iPod/Bluetooth for many years, and we carry a number of decent products. You will find plenty of info on the boards regarding what Lewis mentions above.
We have been the primary distributor for Dension for nearly 6 years, with hundreds of happy Porsche owners using the Gateway 500 for iPod/Aux/USB and the BTA1500 for Bluetooth. All of the details show on your PCM screen where you control things, so everything else is hidden away.
Happy to go into more details. Please email me and I'll pass along what I can to help you with your decisions.

I found the Dension to be an easy install and am happy with the product.
If you have any issues installing it am sure Eric can get you through it.

Self install. The only thing you need a dealer for is programming for cd changer if the vehicle does not have the factory changer. Otherwise we have tons of info that should be able to get you through it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It is appreciated. Eric, please PM your info. Feel free to send me some content on the system ($$ and install instructions). Thanks.
