Can anyone explain the cardan shaft TSB for the '11's (#1 on the list).

Is there something we should be doing/checking? Have there been failures already?

This technical information issued
Feb 8, 2011 is not yet in Renntech. I posted the whole TI, and it doesn't clearly state that an immediate action is required, however from the parts number change it is obvious that the current parts used are inferior to the new ones. That sounds like some cars had problems with them already. And Porsche is not issuing a recall but handles this case by case..

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

So, new P!gs....
Same coolant tubes (plastic), same coils, same cardan shafts.

But, the Burmeister is excellent.

Aw, come on now Lewis. Since when do the Germans know better about hi-fidelity than the Americans.

I missed an opportunity to meet Dr.Bose back in the early '80's, as one of my co-workers had met him vacationing in India. A very smart man as his technology and personal success can truly attest to this.

Congratulations.
You did what I thought was impossible.
You posted something that makes Rosie O'Donnell look almost attractive.

The rear of the Panamera and the Cayenne however ... no change.

IMHO, the guys at Bermeister did a good job.

He is very impressive, both professionally and personally, when you speak with him.
A unique individual, IMHO in the same category as Hewlett and Packard.

I certainly appreciate everyones sense of humor and elephant sized attempts at brevity ;-)
However i recently paid well over 100K for a porker i don't even have yet..and I am already having to worry about cheap *** plastic pipes, failing electronics and even cardans!!
I find those thoughts kinda depressing
Ah well,at least I pick it up at the factory and drive it for 2 months in Europe before bringing it back to the factory,so hopefully any kinks-if any?!?-will reveal themselves during that time and can be fixed by the very people that built it
I certainly will be bringing up these concerns with the customer service manager in Leipzig, before picking up my CT
