Default Intermittent "Air Suspension Faulty Workshop"

Recently installed the Champion lowering module. Car works just fine lowering as anticipated (though the lowest settings on the module make the car way too bouncy). Since the install, I am occasionally getting the "Air Suspension Faulty Workshop" warning. For approximately 10 startups in a row, I was getting it every startup, and then it would beep again and come back regularly when driving-sometimes as often as several times per minute, sometimes only once every 20 minutes, regardless, VERY annoying. It makes it worse that this is my wife's car, and I think she secretly thinks I broke the car

Sometimes, however, I won't get the warning at all. In fact, I drove the car for 20-30 minutes with absolutely no warning, no problems. The driving dynamics of the car are not at all affected regardless of warning or no warning.

I had mods installed (EVO tune, intakes, diverter valves, RSS plenum, Sharkwerks bypass) while gone on our honeymoon this last week (picking the car up tomorrow), and my mechanic does not know what the problem is. He is a competent indy German shop, but I don't think he has the appropriate diagnostic equipment to diagnose the problem.

On that note, what does everyone think I should do? Go to the dealer?

he should be able to pull the codes and we should be able to interpret but the best way is to hook it up at the dealer

I'm goingbto guess a bad electrical connection in the wheel well at the actuator...fairly common problem.

BTW, I think your Cayenne is trying to tell you something if it's "bouncing"

The "bouncing" I am referring to is just that the ride is a bit bouncy when going over bumps as in insufficient dampening to deal with a spring rate. When there isn't much air in the bags when the car is really low, the car doesn't soak up the bumps as well.

And yes, I think you're right about a bad electrical connection somewhere given the intermittent nature of the error. Dealership it is...

Actually, is there a proper name for the diagnostic equipment needed? I could then call around to some other shops to see if someone else has that particular equipment.

Porsche diagnostic tools are called PST2, which was superseded by PIWIS.

Commercial tools include VAG-COM and Durametric.

BTW, have you checked your alignment at these non factory settings?
You might want to keep an eye on tire wear...

I got this problem too. I'm running 20 x 10. 275/40/20.

It's pretty annoying. . . I tried to connect with my buddy's europe car shop computer, it doesn't say anything with the suspension problem. . . but once a while it will show the pictures like this.

Could anyone help? Thank you.
