Detailed pics of 2011 Cayenne panorama roof.
I had requested some pictures of the panorama roof from a 2011 CS owner for my review. I have gotten his permission to share those pics. As you all know the pano roof is made from tinted single-pane safety glass and features a manually adjustable sunscreen. I really like what I see so far from these pictures. I was apprehensive since I went with it on my order sight unseen. I also asked him to take some pics of the instrument dials (since he had a tough time seeing the numbers on a bright day on a black dash) and the 19" turbo wheel in case someone was interested. Here's to the waiters of the 2011 Cayenne.

The X5 panoroof is smaller, but does have a solid screen which when closed for the most part feels like a solid roof. My fear with the perforated screen on the new cayenne was that it would let too much light in all the time, but from these pictures it looks reasonable.

Sid, I had the same concern and spent some time with the owner over the phone. Apparently the perforated sunscreen blocks 85 to 90 % of the sunlight. His mom who hates sunlight felt fine when the sunscreen was in place.

I guess the panaramic roof is good for passengers in the back to see out. Maybe the kids would like to see out and check out clouds, airplanes and birds, but they would dislike the light when taking a nap.
Can the area on top of the driver be closed while the screen area for the rear be open to light? I personally don't like stray light while driving.

Looks like the one in my '06, - love it! Sunscreen comes out from the back and can be parked anywhere along the roof (manual rocker control). I would like the sunscreen to be a bit more opaque, and I think I read that the latest version is exactly that.
