Got mine too. I wonder if they will be doing more of this sort of thing now that PAG is part of VAG. VW used to do (probably still does) this fairly often...the 1.8T sludging problem stands out in my memory.
Perhaps there will be an extended warranty on the coolant pipes; okay wishful thinking.

Got mine too. I also had an odd issue this morning with my MY 2004 cayenne. After starting, engine just shuts down after 30-40 seconds. I hope that this has something to do with coils as the warranty extension will cover it.
Will report back on Monday

What am I missing?
My letter states:
What will Porsche and Porsche Dealers do?
Porsche is extending the warranty on the improved ignition coils with the part number 955 602 101 04 (and successor part numbers), for the condition stated above, i.e. for 4 years or 50,000 miles from the first date of the installation of the improved parts, whichever occurs first. During the extended warranty period, should your Porsche dealer diagnose your vehicle with the concern above, the ignition coil will be replaced at no charge...
I think we're up to version _07 now, and near as I can tell, in the year 2007 the upgrade was to _04.
So, my '06 still has original coils (_03?). If it wasn't under warranty and the coils failed, the repair would not be covered. But, if the new improved part failed in the future it would be covered?

so i have a 2005 w/ 49700 miles and original coils but I think that I'm having problems w/ them. Car idles rough on first cold start of the day and clears up after about 20-30 secs. Would I be covered for replacement or no. Just a little unclear. Thanks
