Never thought I'd ever be a Cayenne driver but driving home, I was actually very impressed with the power, the sound, the ride quality, comfort and noise level. The best piece is that it has a "Sport" button, just like the GT3 that it replaced. Fingers crossed with the reliability. We figured that Porsche learned a a thing or two through the Cayenne production run.

... winter tires, full spare tire and an enclosed aluminum trailer are next.

I love your taste in Porsches...The RS America and the 3.6 are two of my favorites... And the black/black/black Cayenne is so sweet...That's how I set up my '11... (also ordered the black rails)... You will love the Cayenne...Perfect compliment to those air-cooled beauties...

Thanks! I actually love the Cayenne (never thought I'd say that). It has now become our family car of choice. The Sport button rules and the kids love the Panorama Roof!

Well - the car went to a new home today. Put 69k miles on it in the 4 years that I owned it. The car was great fun, virtually trouble free. We will miss it!!!

Very nice CGT!

IIRC, that type of roof rail cannot use the crossbars if you have a Pano roof, rendering the system non-functional. For the pano roof, you have to have the built-in tracks and the RTS.

Personally, I like the look, so while they are probably not functional, I would leave them installed. Just be careful never to use them with the crossbars or you might break your pano roof....$$$$

Best,
TomF
