Default Brake disc wear limit

How much brake disc wear is allowed before the disc is considered worn out?

I know the older Porsches had 1mm wear per side as a limit but I do not have the workshop manual for the Cayenne Turbo so I am unsure of this.

Don't know about the dimensions, but I have heard people say every second pad change typically requires a rotor change.

I just got a hold of the info from the workshop manuals and the wear limit is the usual 2mm total or 1mm per side.

I believe the wear limit dimension is required to be marked on the rotors on newer cars.
